      TUNING & BRAKES

 

It is very important to have a tune-up and to replace brakes when needed on your vehicle. Not only does a tune-up keep your car running efficiently and maximize fuel economy but it will also save you money in the long run. Tune ups include spark plugs, spark plugs wires, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve and on older vehicles a cap and rotor for the distributor.Without a tune-up the ignition coils tend to go out, which is very costly on todays cars. It is also very important for the braking system to work effectively, your life and the lives of others depend on it.



Brake pads on most cars $40 per axle plus parts.

Tune-up-(price may vary depending on model): 4 cylinders $65,  6 cylinders $75,  

V-8s $90 PLUS PARTS.

      TRANSMISSION SERVICE
 

Automatic transmissions need to be drained of old fluid before filling with new fluid and installing a new filter. This will extend the life of the transmission and prevent major problems in the future. This is usually recomended every 30k miles, but check with your owners manuel

Automatic transmission drain fluid, change filter and gasket and refill $55 on most cars, price is for labor. Transmission fluid, filter and gasket are extra. SERVICE TRANSMISSION EVERY 30K MILES

      COOLANT FLUSH
 

Flushing the coolant in the radiator helps prevent corrosion and leaks in the cooling system. It is also a good idea to change the thermostat at the same time and inspect the radiator hoses.

 

Coolant flush, refill, install thermostat, and inspect all hoses $60. Coolant and parts cost extra.
